SHORT STORIES:
Each of the following two stories would very soon be made into a couple of the most popular films of the late 1930’s, one being one of the greatest Westerns of all-time, the other being a very strong screwball comedy:
This story is the basis for John Ford’s Stagecoach, one of my all-time favorites, starring John Wayne (greatest film entrance ever, perhaps?). You can check the imdb page to confirm this is the same story. Great find!
This one was a surprise, but turn the page after Stagecoach and you come to “Bringing Up Baby”, soon made into a classic screwball comedy of the same name starring Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant. Here’s the imdb page for that classic as well.
